RACES Staff and Interns at the Exile Benefit Concert

Champaign business, Exile on Main Street, will host a benefit concert on Saturday, February 20, 12PM-4PM to raise funds for Rape Advocacy Counseling and Education Services (RACES), a local rape crisis center.The event features three musical acts and a local poet performing live in-store at Exile on Main Street. The first act will start at 1:15PM.

The concert is free and open to the public with a $5 suggested donation at the door. Exile on Main Street and Dandelion will donate 10% of any sale made during the event. Attendees will have the chance to enter a drawing to win prizes.

Jeff Brandt of Exile on Main Street says about the event, “”Both Exile on Main Street and Dandelion are all too happy to host this series of events. There are a lot of great charitable organizations out there, and to be able to contribute and raise awareness for them on occasion is really great… we hope at the very least to make people aware of them and what they do.”

RACES staff will be present at the event to provide information on services and how to support the agency as the state budget impasse continues.

February 20th is also the official launch date for the RACES Save Our Services crowdfunding campaign. Community groups and individuals are invited to donate or create fundraising teams.
